ORO fly fishing program is officially set for 2025.

All events start at 0830 at Camp Byron. You are welcome to meet up at Dick’s at 0645 for breakfast before heading over to Camp Byron. Come out and enjoy the day here at Camp Byron, and learn the basics of fly fishing! If you have any questions please contact William Clunie at 207 - 562-7564 or 207-364-6487

What to bring:

  • Any fly fishing gear that you own

  • Sunscreen

  • Sunglasses

  • Pack a Lunch

ORO Gold Rush Missions 2025

ORO is hosting another year of Gold Prospecting introductions and missions.

Here are the dates and general locations:

June 5-8 - Undisclosed location, must have prior prospecting experience or attended previous Gold Rush mission 

June 27 - beginners course 4pm in Byron 

June 28 - Open to All at Camp Byron

July 18 - Beginners Course 4pm , located in Byron, ME 

July 19 - Open to all. Location: Camp Byron 4pm

August 15 - Beginners Course 4pm, Byron, ME

August 16 - Open to all - Location: Camp Byron, ME

Please join us for our 6th Annual BBQ & Raffle Fundraiser - once again featuring our WALL OF HEAVY METAL!!!

The entry price this year is $20 per person, which includes your delicious BBQ PLUS a door prize ticket for an amazing item!!!

This will be a Pig Roast style cookout, with all the proper fixins!

This year’s raffles will consist of several high-end items!!!

In order to give away all items from the Wall of Heavy Metal, ticket sales and drawings will begin at 11am!!!! Food service begins at 12pm!

You WILL NOT want to miss out on these prizes!

Maine: 2 day hunts in the Turner, ME area.

MAINE: 2 DAY PARENT / KID HUNT IN TURNER, ME AREA.

MICHIGAN: 1 DAY HUNT IN LANSING, MI AREA.

*More locations may be added so be sure to check back

Hunters are responsible for travel and tags. Please consider choosing a hunt based on location you will be traveling from.

Fly Fishing Seminar

Saturday, May 11, 2024 (8am til whenever) our ReBoot Fly Fishing Group will gather for a session of skill building for the newbies, and advanced lessons for those that need it. We will have lunch (pack your own) with some tying in the afternoon, and I would like to assemble fly tying kits for the new fly tiers to take home and use themselves. This will also be a time of planning for fishing trips this spring/summer/fall.

Make some calls and ask around..."Who can take our group of anglers fishing this season? Who has a place to stay if we need to go overnight?" We want to ink some definite trips into our schedule for this season. Please bring Easy-Up Tents, chairs, folding tables, and some fishing trip plans. We are ready to FISH!!!!!!!

Camp Byron Clean Up (Volunteers Needed)

REBOOT ASSEMBLE!!!

Camp Byron Cleanup Days are here, and we’re looking for volunteers!!!

Bring your dump trailers, work gloves, shovels, metal rakes, bobcats / excavators , chainsaws, great attitudes, and ATVs!!! Yard work and possible lodge work.

We will feed you but you need to BYOB. Volunteers are welcome to spend the night. Bring a sleeping bag/cot just in case beds fill up.
